HM Land Registry data is only available once the conveyancing process is complete and the property has been registered at HMLR.
The Halifax Building Society, one of the UK's largest mortgage lenders, publishes figures based on mortgage valuations. These market indices are a better indication of current market conditions, but is far less detailed.
Valuing your home
Using the Sale historical price data, try to find comparable properties sold recently in the same street or area.
You can then adjust the estimate according to any aspects that have a bearing on the value of a home, for example the length of the lease or a conservatory
The next step is to get a free valuation from a Sale agent. Remember that estate agent valuations can vary wildly, so get at least 3, disregard the outliers, and calculate an average.
